An agile retrospective is a recurring meeting where a team reviews the sprint that just ended and decides what to change in the next one. A typical retrospective collects observations, groups them into themes, votes on the most important ones, and ends with owned action items. RetroSync runs that flow as a real-time multiplayer board, so a distributed team goes through the same phases together.
During the write phase every card is hidden behind a scribble placeholder, so nobody can see who wrote what or read the content early. When the facilitator triggers the reveal, all cards flip at once. Participants can also join a room as Anonymous, which hides their display name for the whole session.
Yes. RetroSync is free to start, needs no install, and no credit card. Create a room, share the 6-character code, and your team can join from any browser.
No. Only the facilitator needs an account to create and archive rooms. Participants join with the 6-character room code and a display name, or as a guest with no name at all. Sign-in supports Google and GitHub.
RetroSync ships with five built-in retrospective templates: Start / Stop / Continue, Mad / Sad / Glad, Went well / To improve / Actions, Sailboat, and Liked / Learned / Lacked / Longed For. You can also define your own custom template with your own columns.
Yes. RetroSync is built for remote and hybrid teams. Everyone sees live cursors, cards and phase changes in the same browser session, so the facilitator does not have to narrate the board over a call. Rooms work across time zones and results are archived for the next retrospective.
Action items keep an owner and a due date and are stored with the archived retrospective. When the team starts a follow-up room, the open action items from the previous retrospective are carried over so they get reviewed before new topics are raised.
Free to start. No install needed. Just create a room and share the code.
